Indaver has important advantages in-house for processing all types of plastics that allow maximum protection of the environment plus high-value recycling in a number of cases.
At its Willebroek and Doel sites, Indaver has adapted its plants to the pre-treatment and processing of recyclable and non-recyclable plastics.
Recyclable plastic foils, bags, big bags and mono-flows of hard plastics (such as PVC construction waste) are conditioned for recycling in Willebroek.
Indaver treats non-recyclable plastics, mixed plastic flows, laminates and compounds at the Doel site.
Maximum recovery
Indaver processes hard PVC from the construction sector in its Environmental Park in Willebroek.
Indaver ensures sustainable pre-treatment and thus guarantees conversion into a final product that can be reused in the production of new building materials.
Construction and agricultural foils plus all types of packaging foils are also processed in Willebroek. These are sorted by quality and pre-treated for various recycling applications domestically and abroad.
If no recycling is possible, the plastics are handled in the preliminary treatment installation for highly calorific waste in Doel. They are processed there into pellets used as energy carriers in lime and cement kilns.
Depending on their type and the recycling requirements, hard plastics may be ground before being brought to the recycling industry. Re-granulates are produced from them so that they can be used together with fresh plastic granules in the production of new plastics.
